      The last 7 months has  proven pandemic or not, HR is the backbone of every industry. The 2020 Canadian HR Awards ceremony held on September 16th was a key example of just that.

      Now in its  7th year, this award ceremony has often been considered  the industry event of the year for HR Professionals  in Canada, and even though social distancing meant that attendees had to be virtual this year, it did not stop the celebration and well-deserved recognition of talented HR teams, leaders and employers all across Canada. 

      We were thrilled to be an active participant, speaker, nominee, and proud vendor to several of the companies being celebrated. Our team jumped between some great panel discussions on DE&I, Technology, Employer Brand and culture. Without a doubt,  COVID-19 shook up the workplace dramatically and the incredible talent at this event were responsible for much of the heavy lifting and cultural transformation in Canada.

      We want to send a huge message of congratulations to all of the nominees and winners. In particular we would like to celebrate our clients Sephora Canada, CGI, and VHA Home Healthcare for your brilliant successes and awards. 

      A huge congratulations to all of the nominees in the Talent Egg Best Employer Brand Award. The work that all nominees put into their employer brands were exemplary and we honor each of you. A call out to the winners, and our friends at Rexall for a deserved gold win. 

      This meeting of the minds gave us the opportunity to reflect on how vital HR is in the workplace, how proud we are to partner with these leaders, and what an exciting time it is to be part of this industry. 

      Finally, we were so proud to have had our co-founder Leandra Harris nominated for the 2020 HRPA Woman of Distinction Award, to listen to her speak, and to be in the presence of excellence. Congratulations to the winners, and we’ll see you in 2021.
