2017 has been an exciting time for Blu Ivy Group and we are pleased to introduce our newest team member Emily Harrington. Emily will be responsible for partnering with a variety of clients on internal branding communication strategies and leading Blu Ivy’s external communication strategy.
By day, Emily is an employer branding strategist which allows her to tie together her experience in social media marketing, human resources, and communications. By night, you can find her playing tennis, hiking or at the gym, hanging out with her cat (meet Reese above), or cheering for the NY Jets during football season with her husband.
A little bit more about Emily, she has a Bachelors of Commerce from McMaster University. Over the past 6 years, she has had a mix of both private and public sector experience in the areas of full cycle recruitment, human resources, social media, training and development and procurement. Emily began her career working as an IT Recruiter at a boutique IT staffing agency in downtown Toronto. From there, Emily moved to the City of Toronto and has held positions as a HR Consultant, Social Media Specialist, and most recently as a Senior HR Consultant where she was overseeing the digital strategy for multiple social media platforms.
When asked why she loves employer branding, her answer is simple. It weaves together her passion for social media, marketing, communications and human resources. She enjoys uncovering the magic behind an organization and helping organizations to identify their unique brand.
