The term BYOB has taken on new subtext at Achievers, the innovative cloud based employee success platform provider. We recently learned about their own internal employee referral program, and as fans of their unique recognition and engagement solution, we couldn’t wait to share the details of this program with you.
Achievers has developed a robust internal incentive program to support their Employer Branding and recruitment efforts. They call it their “Rock Star Referral Program” and it has been designed to incent employees at every stage of the recruitment process. Achiever’s has experienced great success through the program, seeing significant employee participation and fantastic recruitment results. But there is one element to their innovative program in particular which really stands out.
Employer Branding Comes to Life at Achievers
When employee engagement is part of your client service offering, you had better be delivering internally for your own team. Achievers doesn’t disappoint. In addition to using their own technology to engage, align and recognize their people, Achievers offers employees plenty of opportunities to socialize including weekly events in the Achievers offices. On Friday evening when the workday ends, the company provides the libations and entertainment and employees are asked to BYOB – but they don’t need to bring their own beer. They bring along their best friends or personal referrals to join the fun!
Bring Your Own Bestie
We think the BYOB program is pretty fantastic. What a great way to introduce potential candidates to your organizational culture and get to know them! We spoke with Kate Pope, Employee Success Business Partner at Achievers to learn more:
“The BYOB program allows prospects to experience our cultural norms first hand. It’s not for show! BYOB is an honest invitation to meet our team outside of the formal recruitment process to see what we’re all about. The program is an extremely effective way to harness your employee networks to engage with passive candidates and proactively build your talent pipeline.”
BYOB nights are meant to be fun, relaxed events and Achievers departments take turns hosting. Great themes make sure the guest “besties” have a sense of what to expect from the evening. Casino Royale, Classic Films or the Oscars have provided the backdrop in the past. There was even a Justin Bieber night, but we won’t dwell on that…!
The Achievers BYOB program is such a great example of how to bring your employer brand to life with prospective candidates, with the added benefit of engaging your own team in the process in a unique and personal way. We hope it inspires you to think of creative ways to bring your own brand to life within the recruitment process.
